CCSI is partnering with Onondaga County to hire a Project Coordinator- Community Engagement position.This position is employed by CCSI and working on behalf of Onondaga County partner. In this role, you will: + Facilitate the Onondaga County Partnership for Youth Justice using the CJCC framework. + Collaborate closely with the Department of Children and Family Services, Probation Department, Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Facility, and the service providers. + Monitor new policies and legislation to forecast potential impact on the juvenile justice system in Onondaga County. + Communicate new developments, programing, as well as reporting data, to key stakeholders and partners. + Keep records and documentation of proceedings and the Partnership’s achievements. + Support Partnership stakeholders in the identification of needs of the population and staff and work with the stakeholders to develop a plan to address such needs. + Seek and distribute evidence-based information and initiatives, publications, and reports to stakeholders and service providers. + Promote community involvement by conducting surveys and hosting workshops to gain insight into the community’s perspectives and to develop effective policies and programs. + Collect and track data. Performance management and data tracking includes referrals, engagement, and recidivism. Prepare data reports which will be submitted to New York State’s Office of Children & Family Services. + Hold monthly meetings with the purposes of strategizing service delivery, increasing interagency partnerships, and to disseminate information. + Assist in the creation of material which can be disseminated to families explaining the purpose of the initiative. + Cultivate and maintain partnerships with new and existing Partnership members. + Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: + Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration, public policy, social and/or behavioral sciences and 2-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent education. Additional Requirements: + Access to a vehicle and the ability to successfully complete driving background check. + Familiarity working with youth/families from a strength-based perspective. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook. + Recognize and value diversity within the work environment.
