Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Center�s Director and Co-Director the Project Coordinator will facilitate planning coordination and implementation of research activities related to the COBRE and its administrative and Translational and Transformative Research Cores.
We are seeking a Project Coordinator that has a passion to educate coordinate and collaborate with community partners and researchers by conducting research and other educational activities under the direction of a Principal Investigator that pertain to public health harm reduction and opioid use. The Project Coordinator will be expected to carryout outreach active recruitment and data collection and to take part in analysis of data and dissemination to peer-review journals and community stakeholders when projects wrap up. The Project Coordinator will also provide community drug checking as a drug checking technician at community sites on a regular basis.
The COBRE on Opioids and Overdose is a hub where researchers and community partners across diverse disciplines and perspectives can engage in research and scholarly undertakings about opioids and overdose.
Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all components of the following initiatives:
1) Conduct community drug checking
a) Collect and test samples for studies
b) Analyze and share results with participants and programs
c) Conduct community and technical consultations about samples as needed
d) Other activities supported by the Brown and Lifespan communities
2) Research project coordination
a) Training and staffing project
b) Conducting outreach to maintain connection to partners
c) Implementing protocol
d) Overseeing data analysis
e) Assisting with interpretation and dissemination (writing etc.)
3) General administrative and communication tasks
a) Support in general tracking of key performance indicators
4) Maintain existing partnerships and plan/coordinate new partnerships

Requirements:
Bachelor�s degree in health administration business communications public health or related discipline
3+ years of project coordination or other related experience
Highly organized self-motivated outstanding attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Strong leadership organizational and time management skills
Collaborative driven adaptive flexible and creative
Thrives working in a fast-paced �start-up� environment
Excellent verbal communication and written communication related to engaging with key stakeholders
Excellent computer skills (e.g. Microsoft suite)
Experience working with peers and people with live and/or living experience of drug use
Preferences:
Master�s degree in relevant discipline (MPH MHA MBA MA MS)
Prior experience in public health harm reduction or opioid use disorder treatment provision
Prior experience in stakeholder engagement curriculum development or teaching
Prior supervisory experience
