The Project Coordinator, reporting into the America’s Transformation function, plays a crucial role in supporting the Transformation team in the successful execution of projects. This role is responsible for coordinating various project activities, including procurement & contract administration, training facilitation, skills tracking, managing department onboarding, and scheduling various events and meetings.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Provide Procurement & Contract Admin Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders for project-related materials and services. Monitor and track procurement activities to align with project timelines and budgets. Coordinate with legal and procurement teams to facilitate contract (MSA, EPA, etc.) negotiations and amendments. Maintain organized records of all contracts and related documentation. Resolve any issues related to ordering and invoice discrepancies with the Indirect Procurement and Accounts Payable teams. Scheduling training, tracking skills (via skill matrices), and onboarding of new employees: Coordinate training sessions for engineering teams, including scheduling, logistics, and material preparation. Ensure all training requirements are met and documented for both internal and external training programs. Maintain and update a skills matrix for the engineering team to ensure alignment with project requirements. Identify skill gaps and coordinate training required by working with training and equipment suppliers. Support the onboarding process for new team members by ensuring they meet necessary skill and certification requirements. Provide project coordination and administration: Schedule and organize project meetings, including preparing agendas, distributing materials, and taking minutes. Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely and effective communication. Follow up on action items and ensure they are completed within set deadlines. Support project managers with reporting, documentation, and communication with stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed. Create and submit CAAP documents under the direction of engineering staff Provide general department administration and coordination: Provide administrative support to the Transformation/ASCLT teams, including managing communications, document management, Sharepoint/Teams administration. Assist in the update of department scorecards including budget tracking and expense reporting Assist in the planning and execution of department events, meetings, and team-building activities.

 Qualifications:

2-4 years of experience in a project coordination role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Experience with procurement processes and contract administration (including a general understanding of engineering contract terms) is preferred. Ability to collaborate across different sites regionally. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Experience in the manufacturing environment – specifically with equipment (packaging/processing equip) and manufacturing systems Technical documentation - Knowledge of and ability to maintain technical documentation Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.

Base Salary: $52,830 - $92,440

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
