Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Summary:** The Global Program Management team provides portfolio, program, and project management support to organizations within Caterpillar. The Project Coordinator role will assist the Program Manager with the tracking and monitoring of projects within a corporate program. This individual will have knowledge of project planning tools to track project progress. He or she will support the planning, organization, and implementation of programs and will gather information from stakeholders and project team members to produce project status reports. The Project Coordinator will also have working knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis. **What the candidate will do:** + Track progress according to program schedules and goals + Developing solutions to program problems. + Participate in the preparations of proposals, plans, and program specifications. + Developing the project scope documents, project timetables and other documents that would be provided to Project Managers. + Monitoring the scheduling, budget, and performance of company programs. **Education requirement:** Bachelor Degree related to the field. Advanced English speaking level. **What skills the ideal candidate will have:** **Project Management** + Provides input for Gantt or PERT charts or their equivalent to track project progress and status. + Under guidance, plans and estimates simple projects. + Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements. + Obtains information from stakeholders during the planning stage of a project. + Produces standard project status reports. **Planning** + Contributes to short-term operational plans. + Anticipates and adapts to plan changes. + Monitors progress of work against plan as required to meet objectives. + Reports variances and makes agreed-upon corrections. + Under guidance, develops tactical plan for own direct responsibility. **Process Management** + Interprets process flow diagrams. + Explains differences between a process and a project. + Identifies process management initiatives in own area. + Describes key business processes in own area. **Data Gathering and Reporting** + Identifies the key objectives of gathering data. + Describes alternative data-gathering techniques and tools. + Applies basic data-gathering methodologies. + Identifies key sources of needed information. **Collaborating** + Demonstrates a basic understanding of the concept of collaborative processes. + Explains the concept of collaboration as applicable to organizations. + Provides examples of how collaboration has helped achieve organizational goals. + Contrasts collaborative with competitive operating styles in organizations. **Top Candidates will also have:** Agile or Project Management certifications (i.e. PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), SAFe Scrum Master, etc).
