Project Analyst / Project Coordinator – Corporate Facilities
JOB SUMMARY
The facilities analyst/project coordinator will be a core member of the Workplace Solutions team, which will perform as the activity center for a wide variety of Facilities-related activities.
This position will support business functions for Georgia Power (GPC), Southern Company Services (SCS), Southern Company GAS and other Southern Company affiliates by ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all business unit transactions, including financial, vendor management-based, and compliance-related transactions, including supporting communications to various levels of management.
This position will support multiple organizational functions with project management, analysis, data management and study research needs in aiding our hundreds of brick-and-mortar locations, support services and business partners.
This position will also coordinate the timely and accurate processing, data gathering and analysis for all the Enterprise Solutions applications including Maximo, PowerPlan, Oracle Analytics Cloud Services (OACS) and Oracle Cloud and provide counsel and planning to various levels of management regarding the findings of various analyses as needed.
This position will also assist the organization in meeting corporate and business unit goals and objectives, while establishing and maintaining effective relationships and communications with the organization and internal and external support customers.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage financial workflows for vendor partners, developing and refining departmental procedures to support existing processes and ongoing business needs. Vendor Management – conducting quality assessments, activity monitoring, reporting and discrepancy resolution. Prepare in-depth analysis into business units to develop costing models that help streamline processes and gain efficiencies. Provide data mining analysis and business modeling support as needed to support the evolution of departmental, organizational growth and ongoing company needs. Ensure compliance with internal controls and make recommendations regarding needed changes and efficiency improvements. Participate in special projects by gathering information and providing analysis, business case findings and presenting recommendations. Assess business risks and opportunities. Develop and ensure timely and continuous communications across all associated parties, including leadership, internal partners, and external sources. Act as a childcare liaison between parents and center directors and visit the centers (GPC Corporate HQs and Customer Care Center). Facilitate the childcare Board of Directors meetings and participate in childcare parent meetings and activities. Plans, organizes and implements long and short-term programs and activities designed to assess childcare enrollment and parent engagement. Provide back-office support to Facilities and the Workplace Solutions Team.JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Business Administration, or comparable degree is desired (experience will be considered in lieu of formal degree) 2+ years of applicable experience performing in an analyst/coordinator-related role, project management, reporting, evaluating, data collection and report generation, with an emphasis on company financials, compliance, and headcount related functions is preferredExperience:
Previous experience in facilities, accounting, finance, or business administration preferred Knowledge of Enterprise Foundations principles or accounting equivalent preferred In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, SharePoint) desired Capital and O&M budgeting experience desired Experience coordinating multiple business units’ requests and ensure goals and objectives are metKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
