Project Coordinator/Deputy Project Manager Location United States Job Code 11525 # of openings 1 Apply Now (https://phg.tbe.taleo.net/phg04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=AKIMEKATECH&cws=43&rid=11525) The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Project Coordinator/Deputy Project Manager with a strong background in Project Management leading a team of Data Architects and Data Scientist developing data driven decision making tools and solutions to be utilized by the Analytics and Evaluation Division of DHA. Experience in the Military Healthcare System data warehouses, along with skills in data science are highly desirable. Preferred locations will be San Antonio, Texas or Falls Church, Virginia or remote . DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: + Assigns tasks to team members and balance workload across the entire team. Align tasks assigned to individuals based upon their skills to successfully perform and complete the tasks. + Oversees, monitors, and tracks workflow across the team, document task progress, identify task blockers and coordinate corrective actions. + Document individual team member performance on assigned tasks identifying outstanding performance and skill improvement needs. + Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and activities including quality Improvement meetings, professional staff meetings, department meetings, and others as required. + Search the Analytics & Evaluation Request Portal (AERP) for team new tasks assignments. Enter task status/documentation into AERP. + Serves as intermediary between the government team lead and the contracting team members. Provides directions on task assignments to the team and reports task status to the government team members. + Coordinates with other Project Coordinators and government team leads identifying work efforts that cross team boundaries, and task transition to other teams. + Leads team meetings to track, monitor, and coordinate corrective actions if needed. Conduct daily SCRUM calls as part of task management. + Track new team member onboarding processes, coordinate with government team for required approval/signatures to request access to government data systems, report onboarding status to government team leads. + Keeping abreast of policy and process changes required by the government, coordinate changes and implement new process actions as required with team members. + Provide reports and identifies trends, problems, and shortages of technical skills to perform tasks to the government and contracting leads; Assist the Program Managers with preparing monthly statistical data of overall review process for higher management. Escalate task blockers to Project Managers and assist in the coordination required for corrective actions. + Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: + Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Computer Application + Program Management Professional certification and/or equivalency in experience. [Obtain within one (1) year of employment] + Information Systems and experience in Project Plan Development. + Recommended five to eight (5-8) years MHS experience in various leadership positions. + Lean Six Sigma started within six (6) months of contract award and completed within one (1) year. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: + Proven experience as a Project Manager. + Ability to acquire skills/capabilities necessary to meet growing needs/demands of systems/software/hardware. + Ability to critically examine and evaluate, problem-solve. + Ability to deliver products on time, on schedule, within budget. Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing and often time-constrained environment + Able to read, write, speak, and understand English. + Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical discoveries and appropriate recommendations/mitigation strategies effectively and clearly to all levels of customers including Senior DHA leadership. + Demonstrated ability to organize/participate/lead working groups to develop analytic products and byproducts or to develop/understand processes leading to effective optimization of analytic efforts. + Demonstrated ability to provide accurate and timely analytical products containing well-reasoned and cogent discussion points providing leadership with substantiated options or courses of action. + Demonstrated ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks with multiple deadlines simultaneously. + Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products PLUS additional software/hardware skills and capabilities. + Proven ability to synthesize disparate data from multiple sources and coalesce into an accurate and useful analytic product, incorporating Service and MHS strategic goals for use by leadership in both tactical and strategic decision making. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: + SQL development background. + Knowledge and experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). + Prior experience developing databases and understanding of data modeling concepts. + A background developing Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes. + Experience developing, testing, and maintaining ETL processes. + Knowledge of different SQL/NoSQL data storage techniques and Big Data technologies. + Experience leading a data architecture development team. + Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities + Outstanding interpersonal skills + Strong conceptual abilities + Excellent multitasking abilities + Exceptional analytical abilities REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE: + U.S. Citizenship required + Ability to pass a background investigation.
