Project Coordinator - Empowerment through Entrepreneurship

Key Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the implementation of the project on “Empowerment through Entrepreneurship” Project, a non-sponsorship grant funded by Wells Fargo covering vulnerable groups in Baseco, Manila and covered areas of Malabon City. He/She is responsible for the management of day-to-day project planning and implementation. He/she acts as coordinator for ETE Project thrusts at the local level partnership, building networks, and collaborative efforts for the success of the project. He/she is also responsible in maintaining sound relationships with project stakeholders, community partners, donor and Resource Development team.


The Project Coordinator expects to provide expertise on the following major activities:

Conducts regular monitoring activities to keep track of the progress of project implementation on economic development and provide feedback to immediate supervisor.Prepare and consolidate donor-required reports/documents ahead of the deadline in consultation with reviewers.Collaborate with the local government agencies, schools, and other relevant stakeholders in the implementation of the project, including TESDA, DTI, DOLE, PESO, among others.Based on procurement plan, initiates the procurement of project materials based on organizational policies and procurement standards.Coordinates/collaborates with technical support (internal/external) for the technical aspects of the project (branding, communications, etc.) and sector specialists (education, econdev, health, etc.).Coordinate with Area Program staff in the target areas to ensure transformation developmentProvides support to Resource development team in negotiating with donors when necessary.Implement employee engagement activities with Wells Fargo employees as part of their corporate social responsibility.

Qualifications:

A graduate of a bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Education, Entrepreneurship, or any related courses and/or equivalent experience in project management. Experience of 1-year minimum in project management.At least one year of experience working with urban communities.Community organizing & training facilitation.Experienced in coordination with national agencies and in working with local government units, civil society organizations, churches, faith-based organizations, etc.Can coordinate and relate with cross functional teams.Competence in the use of MS Office and excellence in both oral and written English communications especially in technical report writing and analysis.A working knowledge on projects related to Education, Out of School Youth and particularly Alternative Learning System (ALS).Can work with minimal supervision and has good-decision making skills.Can use technology in project designing, monitoring and reporting.The position requires ability and willingness to travel in the assigned area up to 80% of the time.
