Project Coordinator I

General Description:\n

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Coordinator I with a background in aircraft modification to join our team. This role will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing various aircraft modification projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the aviation industry, project management, and modification processes, along with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.\n

Key Responsibilities:\n\nProject Management: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of aircraft modification projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.\nTeam Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Act as the main point of contact between internal teams and external partners or vendors.\nDocumentation & Compliance: Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with aviation industry standards and regulatory requirements. Track and report on project milestones, risks, and issues.\nBudget & Resource Management: Monitor project budgets and ensure efficient use of resources. Assist in procuring necessary parts, materials, and services for modifications.\nQuality Control & Safety: Ensure that all modification work is carried out according to established quality standards and safety protocols. Ensure that modifications meet regulatory and certification requirements.\nRisk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure timely delivery and compliance. Resolve project issues as they arise and escalate as necessary.\nClient & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Provide updates on project status, timelines, and deliverables.\nContinuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes, workflows, and team collaboration within the aircraft modification domain.\n\n

Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in Business Management, Aviation Management, or a related field preferred, or enrolled in pursuit of degree. Equivalent work experience in aircraft modification or project management will be considered.\nAt least 3-5 years of experience in a project coordinator or project management role within the aviation or aerospace industry.\nProven experience with aircraft modification projects, including knowledge of modification processes, regulations (DOD, FAA, EASA, etc.), and certification requirements.\nFamiliarity with aircraft systems, structure, avionics, and modifications.\nStrong project management skills, including proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).\nExcellent organizational and time management abilities with an eye for detail.\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse teams and clients.\nProblem-solving and decision-making abilities.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\nProficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nCertifications (Preferred, not required):\nPMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification.\nFAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or other relevant certifications are a plus.\nWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.\n\n
