Overview The Scheduler I will have responsibility for assisting in developing and maintaining project schedules in support of projects and proposals in the Power Delivery and associated Power Sectors. The Scheduler I will work with Project Schedulers, Project Managers, Engineers, and Contractors in developing, updating, and publishing project schedules. The Scheduler I will become the subject matter expert on scheduling tools and methods and maintain a high degree of internal customer service via clear and timely communication and reporting. Responsibilities Assist in the development & maintenance of engineering & construction project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project in support of projects and proposals in the Power Delivery and associated Power Sectors. Assure credibility of the information contained in the schedule and verify schedule integrity and evaluate logic and float paths Ability to run schedule variance reports for the project team to analyze schedule risk and change Implements the scheduling and cost control systems as needed for their assigned projects Works with the Functional Leads and Project Manager to develop detailed project schedules consistent with the project work breakdown structure. Learn to cost load and/or resource load schedules if required by the Project Manager or Client Review schedules with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that accurate and timely data is incorporated in the schedule Provide project controls management, including baseline schedule development and management, baseline change control, risk management, and earned value management guidance and tools. Provide project “look ahead” schedules to project teams and resource managers. Effectively communicate accurate status to the project team and TRC management in a timely manner. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management or Business from an accredited school or University or equivalent related experience is required. Work toward Certification as PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) Minimum 0-4 years related experience. Electrical utility experience is preferred. Knowledge of, and experience with the major aspects of engineering workflow, procurement, construction, project controls including experience scheduling medium to large, complex projects. Has general knowledge of cost accounting and critical path method scheduling with strong attention to detail in project scheduling Demonstrated communication skills to deal with internal/external clients. Experience with appropriate software tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, Microsoft Office). Working Conditions & Physical requirements: Position will be office environment with proximity PDE staff. Occasional temporary relocation to project area may be required. Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
