Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator/Inside Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage project coordination, develop proposals, and ensure smooth communication with key clients. This role requires a strong understanding of project management and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
+ Review RFPs and requirements for contract modifications and new contracts
+ Lead internal estimating efforts using a standard spreadsheet integrated with ERP
+ Develop technical and commercial proposals
+ Negotiate and discuss proposals with clients, making necessary updates
+ Review orders and conduct kickoff meetings for operations and accounting
+ Maintain commercial communications with key clients via phone, text, chime, and email
+ Conduct job costing reviews with the Project Manager and General Manager
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in project management
+ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
+ Experience with project coordination and purchase orders
+ Excellent communication and writing skills
+ Ability to multitask and possess strong organizational and planning skills
+ Experience with ERP systems
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Associate's degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of project management or related technical experience
+ Knowledge of conveyors and industrial equipment
+ Experience in obtaining construction permits is a plus
+ Strong business acumen and ability to build basic spreadsheets for estimates
+ Financial sense and ability to analyze project budgets
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to build strong relationships with engineering groups, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
+ Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
+ Self-managed and a team player
+ Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lb boxes
+ Track record of success
Work Environment
This position is onsite at the Columbia, MD location and reports directly to the Engineering Manager. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The role requires full onsite presence with exceptions for personal circumstances.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $40.87
