Job Description MAJOR DUTIES: The Project Coordinator drives cross functional development projects from kickoff to operations handover for the ATS SuperTrak Group. This individual will be primarily responsible for scoping, creating, communicating, executing, and reporting project plans for all product developments they lead, while ensuring that all project team members understand critical milestones, risks, and activities through a comprehensive project management system. In this role, you will be responsible for leading key Projects that are pivotal to the success of the SuperTrak product line. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: · Under general direction from the Engineering Manager, responsible for all aspects of the development, implementation, and execution of assigned projects. · Maintains focus on three critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all projects they lead: On-time Delivery, Budget, and Stakeholder Satisfaction. · Provides a single point of authority to both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining regular contact, and ensuring all key project events and issues are kept current, documented, and available for stakeholder review. · Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. · A primary contributor and collaborator in early definition of project scope and objectives, aligning projects for future handover from preceding development department to SuperTrak. · Utilizes standardized project planning tools such as MS Project and Miro and follows established project management systems and frameworks. · Develops and oversees project schedule and identifies all critical path activities. · Prepare accurate financial and resource forecasts for all projects. Prepare reports as required by the leadership team. · Develops suitable project budgets for labour and materials, working with Finance to establish all necessary accounts, updating project spend and aligning to budget. · Manages project resources through close communication and follow-up with project contributors. Ensures that adequate resources are assigned to all project tasks and tracks progress to completion. · Team Leadership: o Drive effective project team communication on a regular basis. o Lead by example. o Manage projects and project teams in accordance with all applicable ATS procedures. Ensure project teams follow the required procedures. Conduct regular team meetings and issue weekly project updates to the project team. Qualifications Education: · Post- secondary college diploma, engineering degree, or equivalent experience, specializing in electronics, electrical, mechanical, industrial, or controls engineering. Candidates with non-technical credentials considered with demonstrated relevant experience. · Completion of or in the process of achieving the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset. Experience: · Must have experience managing cross functional product development projects. · Must have minimum 3+ years of working experience as project coordinator/manager in automation and/or automotive industry · Sound knowledge and experience leading projects through all phases of the product life cycle (prototype, NPI, production and end of life) · Must have acted in a leading role with a minimum of three years’ experience in a variety of projects/markets on a multidiscipline team. · Preference will be given to those who possess an excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude and proven trouble-shooting skills. · In addition, must be familiar with the use of computerized word processing and computerized spreadsheets and AutoCAD or similar drawing package.
