**Position Summary**
RSI is currently recruiting a Project Coordinator to support federal projects across the US, based out of our Oak Ridge, Tennessee office. The project specialist reports to the Project Management Office (PMO) and will manage, coordinate and oversee different programs and projects. The project specialist must have excellent communications skills that exude a positive, customer-oriented attitude.
**Primary Responsibilities**
A project specialist supports project managers and helps ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include:
+ Communication: Serving as a liaison between project team members and the PMO as well as communicating with clients
+ Communication breakdowns: Overcoming barriers to effective communication among team members, the PMO and other corporate resources
+ Coordination: Coordinate with the PM and PMO on project status, schedule and budget.
+ Organization: Organizing project logistics and keeping detailed records of the project
+ Tracking: Tracking the project's progress and milestones, and reporting risks and outcomes to PM and PMO
+ Team management: Building strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders
+ Project planning: Developing and modifying project plans, and tracking their progress
+ Project management: Coordinating meetings, resources, and equipment, and scheduling assignments
+ Communication: Communicating project goals to team members, and presenting progress reports to stakeholders
+ Budgeting: Assisting the PM in cost tracking and keeping projects on budget, preparing expense reports and payments request
+ Documentation: Maintaining project documentation, meeting minutes and documenting client feedback
**Job Knowledge/Qualifications**
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks.
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Basic understanding of office management and institutional management practices and procedures.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
**Required Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field or 10+ years of federal project execution experience involving environmental remediation, demolition, and waste management activities.
+ Demonstrated application of project execution responsibilities, concepts, processes, methodology, and techniques. Demonstrated excellence and advanced use of software platforms including but not limited to, SharePoint, MS Office, and Adobe. Experience working directly with field level personnel through senior level executive team members and ability to communicate effectively.
