As a Project Coordinator, you will administer and coordinate projects having statewide impact and perform related work. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing social media, website content, communications, and conducting outreach. This position reports to the Business Partnership Manager and will assist with agency operations and program management. This position has great benefits including: + Participation in one of the Nation's best state retirement systems: PERSI + An opportunity for Student Loan Forgiveness + 11 paid holidays a year + Paid parental leave + Excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision plans + Sick and vacation leave that accrue as soon as you start + Optional 401K, and optional 457 + Basic life insurance for employee and family + Wellness programs Example of Duties: + Project development, implementation and consultation. + Develops project goals, work plans, timelines, implementation strategies and plans + Identifies other agencies and organizations as project partners + Identifies and coordinates with WDC committees and advisory groups to recommend project development and implementation + Identifies available resources + May train and advise staff, project advocates and/or participants + Plans, facilitates and conducts meetings Public Relations and Information/Media Interface for the Workforce Development Council + Strengthen community relations to enhance visibility and awareness of workforce development initiatives. + Plan and deliver public presentations, outreach events, and represent the Council at meetings, conferences, and relevant venues. + Coordinate communications support for WDC projects, programs, and public information campaigns impacting state agencies, educational institutions, and industry. + Develop, implement, and evaluate public information campaigns aligned with Council goals and priorities. + Manage and assess the effectiveness of the WDC website, social media, and outreach initiatives to ensure alignment with operational plans. + Ensure ADA accessibility for WDC programs and materials. + Draft responses and assist with public information requests. + Create targeted messaging to support the Council's goals, priorities, and operational plans. + Identify and implement strategies to reach key target markets. + Oversee consultants and vendors, including graphic designers, advertising agencies, and photographers, as needed. Writing/Editing + Research background data and interview sources to write and issue news releases and other publications + Write, edit, or proof-read materials for external communications + Produce or edit publications such as handbooks, brochures, web content and/or newsletters utilizing in-house resources or contracted vendors + Write or edit letters, speeches, columns, and program scripts + Operate audiovisual and desk publishing equipment + Produce, edit, and determine use and distribution of audiovisual and print/online presentations + Maintain photo and audiovisual reference files Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) + Support Executive Director in development and implementation of WIOA State Plan + Collaborate with the One-Stop Operator on website, communications, and training + Serve as Deputy Equal Opportunity Officer for the Workforce Development Council Some travel may be required to support in-state events.
