The Project Delivery Practice Manager is a senior-level role responsible for driving operational and regulatory excellence by optimizing governance processes, tools, and templates for IT project delivery. Leveraging expertise in governance, compliance, and process optimization across energy, infrastructure, and regulatory environments, this role ensures the consistent application of best practices to enable successful project outcomes.

What Else You Get To Do

Lead the continuous improvement of governance frameworks, processes, and tools to standardize IT project delivery and support strategic priorities across ATCO’s Regulated Utilities, Common Groups, and Non-Regulated Global Business Units. Collaborate with IT leadership and business units to align project governance with strategic priorities and regulatory objectives. Oversee the design, implementation, and management of a robust Lessons Learned Program to drive continuous improvement and institutionalize best practices from multi-sector projects. Govern the project gating process, ensuring rigor in upfront planning, forecasting, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., AUC applications, IFRS rules). Drive automation of repetitive governance tasks to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve reporting accuracy. Apply governance and compliance expertise from energy, infrastructure, or other regulatory-heavy sectors to IT project delivery. Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in governance across industries, with a particular focus on energy, infrastructure, and IT

Who You Are: 

A related bachelor’s degree in business management or computer science, and/or combination of master’s degree education and equivalent work experience 15+ years of governance and regulatory compliance experience in energy, infrastructure, or IT project delivery environments.  Extensive experience in governance frameworks, tools, and processes, with applicability across IT, energy (electric transmission, power generation, pipelines), or infrastructure project environments Strong familiarity with operational and compliance requirements in regulated environments. Experience leading governance initiatives or Lessons Learned Programs with demonstrable impact on project outcomes and organizational efficiency. Exceptional communication and facilitation skills. Excellent writing skills and documentation development Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address challenges in governance and project delivery. Familiarity with tools and platforms such as SharePoint, workflow automation tools, and project management software  Deep understanding of/experience in preparing and supporting AUC applications or other regulatory processes critical to capital projects is an asset
