An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Manager with proven Building Services / HVAC experience to join our GF Building Flow Solutions (Uponor LTD) sales team. This role focuses on driving new business, building relationships with contractors, developers, and specifiers, and securing high-value projects.
As part of our Projects Team, you’ll play a key role in delivering and growing specification sales in the UK. Working closely with Key Account Managers (KAMs), Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), and Territory Sales Managers (TSMs), you’ll provide high-level sales and technical support, ensuring success throughout the project lifecycle.
What will you be doing?
To develop and grow visibility, opportunity, and profitable sales within the Multi storey, Health, Education, Office and Leisure market sectors
Present GF Building Flow Solutions offering portfolio to industry professionals and key decision makers operating within Specifiers, Developers and Clients to enhance our visibility and deliver profitable, sustainable long-term growth
Develop business opportunities, identify, and manage routes to market, and achieve new business sales
Development and management of key customer contacts and relationships, building profitable and sustainable business growth
Fully manage & be responsible for, project specification through to M&E contract award
Carry out CPDs to specifiers, developers and architects
Attending GF Building Flow Solutions, Trade and Association events to promote and demonstrate our solutions
Working closely with colleagues within a Sales Region (However not shared account ownership)
Act as a focal point for target accounts within the sectors and coordinate all GF Building Flow Solutions activity
Support and manage CRM/Project tracking database using the business CRM
Liaising with Design & Technical Support for creating of designs and quotations
Liaising with marketing to produce targeted mailshots and campaigns

What will you need?
Essential: Previous experience working in an external sales / specification role(s)
Proven experience in business development/account management
Previous relationships with industry relevant contacts would be beneficial (but not essential)
HVAC Technical knowledge would be beneficial
Used to working on own initiative and able to work with customers (internal and external) to solve problems
Team player with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Self-starter with the ability to prioritise workload
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills (i.e. conducting meetings & presentations).
Commercial experience and knowledge (sales, markets & pricing)
Strong IT skills is essential
