JOB DESCRIPTION
· Over-all coordination, monitoring, and supervision in the implementation of Family Development Session;
· Ensure provision of technical assistance and spot checks in the conduct of FDS;
· Reviews and make recommendations for enhancement of FDS guidelines/modules;
· Prepares and submits periodic and special reports to the RPMO;
· Performs other tasks assigned by the RDPM and/or RRC from time to time.
· As a Focal Person of the Region on Youth Development Session and transition strategies, s/he will work with the Family Development Unit (FDU) in the National Project Management Office (NPMO) on monitoring the status of YDS conducted to pilot areas covered;
· Lobby the institutionalization of YDS in the Region through the creation of ERAC Resolution and creation of YDS Execom Members at the Regional Level;
· Review and draft YDS Guidelines, policies and directives of the YDS implementation;
· Recommend policy enhancement and YDS guidance notes to NPMO and YDS Execom;
· Craft and review YDS materials and related references to be used to ensure that these materials are developmentally appropriate and responsive to the needs of the target young adolescents;
· Closely collaborate with IPD to strengthen partnership with NGAs, CSOs/NGOs, LGUs and stakeholders concerned with shared strategic goals in the implementation of YDS;
· Provide technical assistance in coordination with the YDS Execom Members, Provincial Operations Office, Social Welfare Officer III through capacity building, coaching and mentoring to untrained YDS team in pilot areas;
· Collaborate with the YDS team facilitators in the program areas to jointly capacitate youth volunteers and organize youth groups;
· Provide technical assistance to organize youth groups/ peer support group to program areas;
· Closely monitor the YDS pilot areas and capture relevant practices and YDS implementation strategies in times of pandemic;
· Act as repository of all YDS reports and documents at the Regional Management Office and consolidate regional status report and situationer on YDS implementation for submission to the National Project Management Office;
· Develop YDS implementation report template as standardized tool to capture the YDS implementation reports to program areas;
· Develop YDS Talaarawan/journal template and YDS pre-test- post test;
· Assess and analyze readiness of program areas for expansion of YDS implementation such as IP areas, areas with high NAS/non-compliant children to 85\% school attendance or prioritize area/s in the region as identified by the YDS execom and NPMO;
· Analyze data on NAS children and recommend interventions that can be addressed through the YDS;
· Analyze the developmental challenges and presenting needs of the youth population in program areas and recommend parental interventions that can be addressed through Family Development Sessions (FDS), Parents Enhancement Seminar (PES) and similar opportunities involving parents and family in the intervention processes;
· Close coordination with case manager and PPPPMO technical staff for the intervention planning and inclusion of YDS as part of the intervention process to NAS children and non-compliant child beneficiaries;
· Coordinate and assist the academe/ students and external partners conducting study/assessment on the implementation of YDS;
· Perform other functions as may be directed by the Regional Director or her authorized representative.
