Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?Project Director role will support mid to large scale initiative(s) with high complexity as an individual contributor within Product Sophistication. The Project Director will spearhead the Inland Marine Product & Platform Modernization effort, partnering with product leaders, Product Value Stream Circle Leads and partners across Business Insurance. The Project Director will help in identifying connections related to the business outcomes across the Business, Value Streams and Circles to the defined BI and Product Strategies.What Will You Do?

The Project Director works with minimal supervision and is responsible for applying advanced Project Management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques. Individual will focus on key project deliverables, processes, and systems in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations.

Support the management of complex programs and projects by coordinating across impacted teams & groups in partnership with business leads, execution leads (Circle Lead & Product Owner) and tech leads – extending from business runway through implementation and post monitoring.Provide transparency and communication of health, progress, and status of capability investment.  Monitor program outcomes and adjust where needed.Drive/support end-to-end planning throughout the capability development lifecycle including defining milestones, developing business and execution roadmaps, and creating and managing core planning artifacts.Ensure key dependencies are identified, planned for, communicated, and managed.Support and drives risk management activities including identification, assessment, mitigation, and communication of risks. Address issues that arise ensuring they do not negatively impact the program’s overall objectives and outcomes.Supports resource planning and allocation across the program.Supports program financial analysis as needed.Ensure compliance with all governance processes at the enterprise, theme and program level.Prior Experience managing large scale projects preferred.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.7 years of project management experience preferred.2 years of experience managing others and/or project teams preferred.Manages team development, very active in the mentoring of members of the PM community, may have direct management responsibility of PMs.Develops both IT and Non-IT Project budgets. Manages against them.

What is a Must Have?High School diploma or equivalent required.5 years of project management experience required.
