Project Director - Systems of Care
Project Director – Systems of Care Salary Range: $69,000-$75,000 Yearly Reports to: Chief Operating Officer Location: 1603 Court Street, Syracuse, NY 13208 Flexible to Meet Program Needs The people we care for come from all walks of life, and so do we. Our focus is supporting individuals through residential housing, mental health, and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings. Duties: 1. Monitor the implementation of project + Provide leadership, direction and guidance for planning and implementing the project + Oversee all project activities related to SAMHSA, including evaluation, social marketing and communication, cultural responsiveness and community engagement + Respond to the direction of the Principal Investigator to achieve project’s goals, objectives, and expected outcomes and to plan sustainability of critical activities of the initiative + Ensure all parts of the project are culturally and linguistically responsive to populations served in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program, services, and training + Build System of Care governance structure to include the population of focus 2. Manage program expenses in keeping with budget guidelines + Understand project budget and ensure project activities/expenses stay within budget + Monitor current contracts and spending + Prepare program reports and required fiscal data as needed 3. Maintain appropriate records and prepare necessary reports + Ensure that all required documentation is completed and maintained per grant requirements + Complete required reports as directed by supervisor + Implement system to measure quality initiatives and program outcomes. Monitor the status of Program Outcomes data and Agency dashboard. 4. Supervision of assigned staff + Provide direct supervision to the Lead Family Coordinator and other staff as deemed necessary by the Principal Investigator + Provide ongoing direction, support and performance evaluation of assigned staff + Document performance concerns and follow up with disciplinary action as needed Work in conjunction with HR as needed 5. Community and Teamwork + Develop a strong interagency collaboration, one that is culturally competent, respects all players and builds a true partnership + Establish and maintain internal and external communication mechanisms and contacts needed to facilitate program operations + Participate in Agency and community meetings, committees and task teams as identified by supervisor 6. Follows Agency standards and procedures + Follows and ensures department staff are trained and follow agency standards and procedures + Maintains compliance and ensures department staff maintain compliance with applicable contract requirements + Provides and ensures staff provide person centered, trauma-informed, quality services 7. Other duties as assigned Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services related field and 4 years’ experience serving children with complex needs. Master’s Degree in Human Services related field and minimum 2 years’ experience serving children with complex needs preferred. Experience in project management preferred. Strong leadership skills required. Experience in children’s systems of care preferred; experience providing services to, or on behalf of, youth with developmental disabilities preferred. Bilingual preferred. 1 year supervisory experience preferred. Conditions of Employment: Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s license and have transportation necessary to meet departmental needs.
