**Job Description:**
Parsons is seeking a highly experienced **Project Director - Vertical Transportation** to lead and manage the complex vertical transportation systems for the ambitious NEOM The Line development. This role demands a seasoned professional with a minimum of 25 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing advanced vertical transportation systems, preferably in large-scale, urban environments.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Strategic Planning:** Develop and implement a comprehensive vertical transportation strategy that aligns with NEOM The Line's overall vision and goals.
+ **System Design:** Oversee the design and engineering of innovative vertical transportation systems, including high-speed elevators, escalators, and other advanced technologies.
+ **Project Management:** Lead and manage all aspects of vertical transportation projects, from conceptual design to commissioning and handover.
+ **Procurement and Contract Management:** Manage the procurement process for equipment, materials, and services, ensuring optimal value and timely delivery.
+ **Construction Management:** Oversee the construction and installation of vertical transportation systems, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
+ **System Integration:** Coordinate with other project teams to ensure seamless integration of vertical transportation systems with other building systems.
+ **Testing and Commissioning:** Conduct rigorous testing and commissioning procedures to verify system performance and safety.
+ **Maintenance Planning:** Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan to ensure the long-term reliability and efficiency of vertical transportation systems.
+ **Safety and Compliance:** Prioritize safety and compliance with international standards and regulations.
+ **Team Leadership:** Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and project managers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
+ **Minimum of 25 years of progressive experience in vertical transportation systems, including design, installation, and maintenance** .
+ In-depth knowledge of advanced vertical transportation technologies, such as high-speed elevators, escalators, and automated people movers.
+ Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal 1 skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
+ Proficiency in relevant design and analysis software.
+ Experience working in international environments, preferably in the Middle East.
+ A solid understanding of NEOM's vision and the unique challenges and opportunities associated with the project
