If you’re ready to grow with us and become part of our vision of being the premier Chemical Company, apply today! **Purpose/Introduction** Chevron Phillips Chemical is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join the Projects organization to support the construction of the Ethylene unit for the Golden Triangle Polymers (GTP) facility located in Orange, TX. In this role, the Project Engineer will have primary responsibility for supporting the ethylene scope and planning and facilitating the process for effective system turnover. **This position will support the project through mechanical completion and will be located in Orange, TX** **with an expected commitment through mechanical completion.** The GTP project includes the engineering/design, construction, and commissioning of a petrochemicals complex to produce ethylene and high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The facility is expected to have a 2,080 KTA ethane cracker and two high-density polyethylene derivative units with a combined capacity of 2,000 KTA. \#HPCP **Responsibilities** + Drives project team through systems completions and ensures timely and organized system handover including handover authorization sequence and signoff, and punch list assignment / completion. + Works closely with EPC System Completions, Construction, and Quality Assurance & Commissioning teams to coordinate turnover by system and to communicate expectations for each system. + Develops tools and visualizations for System tracking and reporting (i.e. PowerBI Dashboards). + Participates in SIMOPS, pre-commissioning and system walkdown activities. + Reviews and provides feedback on pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up plans and execution. + Supports Engineering, Quality and Construction to identify technical project gaps and working with EPC to develop suitable solutions. + Supports Equipment Preservation & Protection. + Supports Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance activities to help drive equipment release and punch list item closure. + Supports vendor needs for pre-commissioning and commissioning and collaborates with Operations on vendor support needs for start-up. **Skills/Abilities** + Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook). + Excellent time management. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Positive attitude, proactive and ability to maintain team harmony. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in engineering. + At least 7 years of related petrochemical industry experience. **Preferred Qualifications** + Previous capital project experience. + Knowledge of industry codes such as ASME, API, ASTM, etc. + PowerBI experience. + Ethylene experience.
