Essential Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain company systems and procedures at project start-up, including job site trailer/office setup, cost accounting systems, and master filing systemsOversee and support recordkeeping functions, including the review and distribution of project documentation, preparing meeting minutes, tracking project milestones, and maintaining logs, drawings, and specificationsAssist in the (sub)contract management process, including the tendering and awarding of work and material supplyManage the change order process by securing pricing, reviewing and inputting data, and submitting requests to the owner/consultant for approvalSupport the creation and tracking of project schedules and milestones, updating and reviewing schedules with the Project Manager and SuperintendentCoordinate the review and distribution of project drawings, following up with trades and consultants, maintaining drawing logs, and handling transmittalsManage the Request for Information (RFI) process, ensuring proper distribution to affected trades and maintaining RFI logs and bindersPrepare purchase requisitions and assist with the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring everything is sourced efficientlyConduct field reviews of engineering work products to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirementsProvide support for safety and quality assurance by reviewing the progress of projects and coordinating with other departments to ensure technical standards are maintainedQualifications:
Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related field3+ years of experience in pipeline construction/maintenance or a related fieldFamiliarity with pipeline construction methodology and industry practicesStrong background in construction office processes, including project setup, change orders, subcontract management, and RFI managementProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and scheduling softwareExcellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, contractors, and clientsA minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in pipeline construction or a related disciplineExperience in the construction or maintenance of pipeline systems is highly desirableExperience in change order management and RFI processesKnowledge of procurement and material management in a construction setting is preferredStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to read and understand construction documents, drawings, and specificationsProficient with project management and scheduling toolsStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentAn understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance requirements in construction projectsWork Conditions:
This is a field-based position with a significant amount of time spent on-site. The role requires the ability to work in remote locations, potentially with temporary accommodations.
