Description 1. Performance Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of powertrain unit performance metrics including quality, cost, and delivery. Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance competitiveness. 2. Competitive Benchmarking: Research and analyze competitors' powertrain units to understand market trends, technological advancements, and best practices. Translate findings into actionable strategies to maintain or surpass industry standards. 3. Cost Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction opportunities within the powertrain unit production process. Implement strategies to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality or performance. 4. Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance productivity throughout the powertrain unit lifecycle. Implement lean methodologies and Kaizen principles to drive operational excellence. 5. Supplier Collaboration: Partner with suppliers to optimize component sourcing, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely delivery of quality materials. Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and drive mutual success. 6. New Technology Integration: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry developments related to powertrain engineering and manufacturing. Evaluate feasibility and potential impact of adopting new technologies to improve unit competitiveness. 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to align objectives and drive synergy across the organization. Communicate effectively to ensure a shared understanding of goals and priorities. 8. Reporting and Presentation: Prepare and present reports, performance dashboards, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Communicate key findings, progress updates, and future strategies to drive informed decision-making. What you’ll be doing Working with a group of engineers, production team members, maintenance, and Seibi technicians to develop and implement not technologies across powertrain plants for Toyota in North America to lower the cost of products being produced Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field. Mandatory - Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, powertrain engineering, or related industry. - Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. - Demonstrated experience in cost optimization, process improvement, and project management. - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams. - Strategic thinker with the ability to perform root cause analysis. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
