Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing custom program documentation, ensuring understanding of program specifications, and developing and overseeing the execution of acceptance and qualification test plans. You will also support production, sales, and external customers, and champion continuous process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with products and the assembly process, along with strong project management and communication skills.
ResponsibilitiesProvide custom program documentation such as EEE Parts list, MIUL, and PAA.Help ensure understanding of program specifications.Familiarity with industry and military standards such as IPC, INST-EEE-002, NASA-STD-6016, and MIL-HDBK-217.Develop and oversee the execution of acceptance and qualification test plans in compliance to SMC-S-016.Provide support to production, sales, and external customers.Plan and execute the transition from new product release to manufacturing by developing all required manufacturing processes, workflows, tools, fixtures, test equipment, work instructions/process travelers, and training of technicians and manufacturing personnel.Champion continuous process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce labor costs by implementing lean manufacturing methodology.Assess project scope and develop tasks and project schedules to meet internal and external customer expectations.Essential SkillsProject managementElectrical engineeringMechanical engineeringProject engineeringHands-on experience with products and the assembly processImplementation exposureExcellent communication with customersKnowledge of EEE Parts, MIUL, PAA, IPC, INST-EEE-002, NASA-STD-6016, MIL-HDBK-217, and SMC-S-016Additional Skills & QualificationsBS degree in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringSeven to ten years of experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in the manufacturing of transducers, sensors, and/or electromechanical products preferredFamiliarity with pressure and temperature test equipment highly desirableExperience with electronics manufacturing and testing (e.g., pick and place machine) preferredProven track record of designing fixtures and tools for assembly and testDemonstrated knowledge of machining operationsProven track record of resolving manufacturing problemsDesire to work in a team environmentExcellent verbal and written skillsUS Citizenship requiredWork Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
