Project Engineer
Job Title: Project Engineer (Columbus Airport Project) Job Description This role serves as an entry point into a career in project management. The primary responsibility is to assist project managers in successfully coordinating projects by utilizing essential engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and subcontracted services. The position demands the development of skills in estimating, scheduling, and design to comprehend the coordination of the design-build construction process. Responsibilities + Support field labor and provide labor feedback. + Procure equipment and subcontractor services. + Manage document control. + Coordinate design, trade, and subcontractor activities. + Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, and estimate project changes and impacts. + Assist in the development of project schedules. + Read mechanical and plumbing drawings to accurately track labor feedback. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management. + 1+ years of experience in mechanical engineering. + Experience with RFI/Submittals. + Mechanical-focused, design-build engineering experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1-3 years of experience in the related field. + Experience with a mechanical contractor or supporting project work. + Knowledge of HVAC systems and design. + Design Build experience is a plus. Work Environment The position requires reporting to the job site five days a week. This includes working on the John Glenn Airport project, one of the largest projects in Columbus.
