Project Engineer

The Role

Seeking a driven and experienced Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure division on a 2:1 FIFO roster from WA. Based in the Pilbara, you’ll be an integral part of the site-based project delivery team, supporting the successful execution of major infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer will coordinate engineering and site-based elements to ensure project objectives across safety, quality, environment, cost, and schedule are achieved. You'll be involved in everything from procurement, quality documentation and technical planning to construction support and performance monitoring.


Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage project-specific documentation including WMS, ITPs, MDRs and quality, safety and environmental plans. Provide technical support to site teams, ensuring compliance with engineering specs and project requirements. Assist in planning, scheduling and monitoring project progress using tools like MS Project, Candy, or Primavera. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials and services in line with project timelines and budgets. Identify and resolve on-site issues through RFIs and TQs; support constructability and design improvements. Support QA/QC processes including testing coordination, NCR close-out and register management. Liaise with subcontractors and stakeholders to maintain alignment on project objectives and deliverables. Assist with reporting, administration, timesheets, and project documentation control. Promote a Zero Harm safety culture and ensure compliance with SRG Global’s HSEQ standards. Contribute to team collaboration, continuous improvement and a positive site culture.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within civil infrastructure or mining projects Proven ability to deliver quality outcomes in fast-paced, remote construction environments Experience with quality and procurement management, temporary works, and cost control Proficiency with MS Project, Candy or Primavera (desirable) Strong communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to Zero Harm and continuous improvement
