Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description

The Project Engineer will operate under the direction of the Project Engineer Manager in a c-GMP regulated manufacturing environment adhering to Q7A standards. The role involves providing technical oversight and leadership for all phases of project planning, development, and execution with a focus on steam, condensate, compressed air, chilled water, RO water, and City water systems.

ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop, coordinate, and direct complex engineering projects, including project scope, preliminary budget, schedule, task lists, measures, and goals.Oversee and coordinate detailed design, layout, construction drawings, construction, and installation; assist operations during project start-up as necessary.Prepare cost estimates and project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Collaborate closely with in-house engineering, maintenance, operations, and quality departments to ensure optimal design and minimal construction interference with daily operations.Lead project teams in completing projects, including setting timelines, assigning work, communicating with team members, solving problems, and achieving high-quality solutions.Develop and modify technical guidelines, standards, and specifications in the area of specialty.Design industrial equipment support structures (structural steel) to be reviewed and approved by Structural PE.Design industrial piping, including sizing, material specification, and weld quality inspections.Familiarize with pipe racking hardware to support new pipe installations.Represent the company in communication with other organizations to resolve questions and plan and coordinate work.Perform all operations according to prescribed safety principles.Stay informed of new methods and developments affecting operations to recommend changes in project emphasis or new warranted projects.Essential SkillsProject managementManufacturingAutoCADRevitMechanical engineering theories, principles, methods, and procedures at an advanced levelAdvanced mathematics and statisticsProcess and Instrumentation Diagrams nomenclature and interpretationMS Office software packageAdditional Skills & QualificationsBS in Mechanical or Industrial EngineeringFive or more years of project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated ability to deliver project-based resultsTwo years of project engineering experience can be substituted by an advanced degreeSkill in working effectively and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneouslyEffective, disciplined, and demonstrated documentation with attention to detailAbility to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, including in-depth collaboration between development and process divisionsSkill in responding to rapidly changing demandsAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writingAbility to analyze complex project engineering problems and develop safe and creative solutionsAbility to prioritize and plan work to meet schedules and deliver quality resultsAbility to design and manage projectsAbility to identify, gather, coordinate, organize, and analyze dataAbility to exercise judgment while being insightful, logical, and methodicalWork Environment

The work environment is a c-GMP regulated manufacturing setting operating under Q7A standards. The role involves collaboration with various in-house departments to ensure minimal interference with daily operations. The position requires adherence to prescribed safety principles, with opportunities for involvement in innovative projects influenced by new methods and developments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.88/hr.
