Job Summary:
As a Junior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for helping deliver integrated software projects from design to system acceptance. You will work closely with development, QA, and support teams to ensure that customer expectations are met and project deliverables are on time and within budget. The role requires travel within North America and internationally for software commissioning, trade shows, and demonstrations. Successful candidates will be generally outgoing, customer focused, and enjoy playing a key role in delivering quality software which meets the needs of the end users.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
System design and assistance with proposalsOn-site system commissioningFacilitate project communication and reporting goal status to key stakeholdersDesign functional specifications and coordinate software release plansDesign training materials and provide training classesQuality assurance related to project deliverablesWork closely with customers to manage post installation supportSupport for industry trade shows and demosTravel required up to once to twice per month for one to two weeks – variable based on project and customer requirementsRequirements:
Undergraduate degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer ScienceExcellent computer and networking skills, specifically with Microsoft productsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to be a team player with both internal and external membersWork effectively in a dynamic environment where priorities shift frequentlySoftware deployment and troubleshootingProactive and self-motivatedAbility to travel within Canada, the US, and across the globe including the Middle EastApplicants must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered for the role as they will be handing ITAR data and products.FLIR Systems strictly adheres to the rules and regulations for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Controlled Goods Products. Salary Range:
$61,900.00-$82,500.000Pay Transparency
