Project Engineer
Job Title: Construction Project EngineerJob Description We are seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in the successful execution of construction projects. This office-based role focuses on the financial and administrative aspects of project management, with projects ranging from water treatment facilities and industrial developments to K-12 schools and parks in Central Indiana. Some travel will be required. Responsibilities + Support Project Managers with financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting for multiple projects. + Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders. + Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with project requirements. + Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor communication and purchase order tracking. + Generate and maintain project documentation, including cost reports and progress updates. + Utilize project management and ERP software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint) for documentation and reporting. + Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. + Analyze project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering. + 2 years of commercial construction experience (or 1 year of water/waste water or K-12 experience). + 1 year of general contractor experience. + 1 year of experience with construction software. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with water waste water projects. + Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings. + Experience in K-12 construction. + Proficiency in Procore and institutional construction. Work Environment This position requires five days per week in the office, with a typical work week of 40-45 hours. Travel exceeding 60 miles is reimbursed at $0.67 per mile. The role offers an opportunity for career growth, eventually leading to managing your own projects as an Assistant Project Manager. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $78000.00 - $82500.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
