Description
The successful candidate will serve as the product owner for a product team within a large Solution Train. The Product Owner will be responsible for managing and prioritizing the backlog ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent visible and understood and collaborating with various stakeholders to maximize value to the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build edit and maintain the team backlog with input from stakeholders including PM EPM and IPT lead
- Refine the backlog as part of an agile rhythm including PI Planning
- Collaborate with the team to continually mature the Story backlog
- Understand scope of upcoming enabler work and collaborate with architects to assist with decision-making
- Maximize value to the customer
- Evaluate team progress and guide the work of the team
- Own risk and opportunities for the product
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure completed Stories meet user needs and comply with the Definition of Done
Skills & Qualifications
Must have:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Problem Solving Capability – Proven track record of identifying issues and implementing effective solutions (6+ years).
Agile Software Development – Hands-on experience working within Agile frameworks and methodologies (6+ years).
JIRA – Proficient in using JIRA for project tracking and issue management (4–6 years).
Engineering Design Principles – Solid understanding and application of core engineering design concepts (6+ years).
Metrics Development – Experience in defining, tracking, and analyzing performance metrics (4–6 years).
Advanced Communication Skills – Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders (6+ years).
Oral and Written Communication – Strong proficiency in conveying complex ideas clearly and concisely (6+ years).
Nice to have:
Program Management – Familiarity with managing complex programs and cross-functional initiatives (4–6 years).
Systems Engineering – Exposure to systems-level thinking and integration practices (2–4 years).
Hardware Integration – Experience supporting hardware-software integration efforts (2–4 years).
Software Engineering – Foundational understanding of software development principles and practices (2–4 years).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $54.00/hr.
