Summary: Design and support solid waste and landfill infrastructure projects through engineering, permitting, field work, and construction inspection.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering major
Minimum 4 years of civil engineering and/or solid waste design experience
Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification
Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Valid driver’s license with driving record in good standing
Ability to perform field work in varied terrain and weather
Preferred Skills
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Solid waste engineering experience (landfills, landfill infrastructure, landfill gas, composting systems/facilities)
Civil/site design deliverables (grading, drainage, earthwork, utility layouts, erosion and sediment control)
Permitting support for solid waste and environmental projects
Construction inspection and as-built documentation
Job Responsibilities
Prepare engineering designs and construction drawings for solid waste projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Support landfill and landfill infrastructure projects, including related solid waste management systems (landfill gas, composting, and facility infrastructure)
Perform engineering calculations, design reports, and technical documentation for project deliverables
Assist with permitting applications, regulatory coordination, and responses to agency comments
Conduct field investigations and site visits to support design development and issue resolution
Perform construction inspections to verify work meets plans, specifications, and permit requirements
Document field observations and inspection results; support corrective action tracking and closeout documentation
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
