Project Engineer
Job Title: Project Engineer Job Description Independent and autonomous management of solar construction projects of various sizes and complexities from pre-construction to project closeout using company processes and procedures, resulting in meeting or exceeding planned profits. Understand Project Management processes and tools including project scheduling, financial reporting and budget management, project communications plan, contracts, BIM tools, and other project-related processes. Manage all financial aspects of projects. Listen to client and subcontractor concerns, identify issues, and react accordingly. Provide conceptual information to groups to illustrate ideas and concepts. Facilitate and lead productive/effective meetings. Prepare project baseline schedules and schedule updates through the life of the project, using actual versus baseline to substantiate delays and impacts as appropriate. Track, manage, and mitigate project financial budget vs. actuals. Track field productivity estimates vs. actuals and implement course corrections to protect labor budget and project profit. Take ownership of project safety, including weekly audits and incident investigation and reporting; be a positive contributor to the company safety culture. Identify project impacts and delays, provide timely notifications per the contract documents, and prepare detailed documentation to submit claims. Solve problems by understanding the root cause, developing solutions, and following through with implementation. Comprehend complex project concepts and manage for success. Overnight travel 3-4 days per week throughout the Midwest.
