MAU is hiring a Project Engineer for HUBNER in Mount Pleasant, SC. As a Project Engineer, you will lead and support new and existing development projects, act as a liaison between internal teams and customers, manage timelines, ensure compliance with technical specifications, and maintain open communication to meet project objectives and customer expectations. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
HUBNER manufactures key components for the transportation industry (railway vehicles, buses, and airport technology). The range of products and services includes designing and producing folding bellows, vehicle articulation systems, flexible gangway systems, rubber products, and folding canopies. Benefits Package: 401k 401k matching Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid vacation Paid holidays Paid time off Opportunity for advancement Shift Information: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field 3+ years of experience in project management (verifiable experience may substitute for formal education) Experience with 3D modeling applications, such as CATIA V5 General Requirements: Adaptability to shifting priorities daily Proficiency in using ERP/MRP/PLM software relevant to production and manufacturing, such as SAP Familiarity with both European and US standards Experience in the transportation industry Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment Essential Functions: Lead and manage new and ongoing development projects, supporting the senior project engineer as needed Act as the liaison between Hubner USA, the customer, and Hubner Germany, addressing project management, design issues, and related topics Develop and oversee project timelines and open items lists, ensuring alignment with project scope and customer expectations Establish project objectives based on requirements and company goals Assist the Quality Department in upholding quality and safety standards for both the customer and Hubner Ensure adherence to technical specifications, standards, and tolerances as outlined by the customer Analyze project requirements to identify business challenges and propose effective solutions Provide training and orientation as necessary for project functions Create technical documentation required for customers, including Technical Descriptions, Mounting Instructions, and RAMS Interpret and communicate design information from drawings Prepare, organize, and present documentation for design reviews throughout each project phase Maintain ongoing communication with customers to foster a collaborative partnership and ensure aligned expectations Perform additional duties as needed based on skill level and corporate needs Travel Up to 25% annual travel required #PS
