Main ResponsibilitiesThis full-time, on-site Project Engineer position in Manila involves:
1. Subcontract Management: Taking charge of one subcontract for the PRI independent power supply project. Overseeing the subcontractor responsible for delivering a turnkey solution for a 34.5kV/400V substation.
2. Project Planning: Handling the strategic planning and scheduling of project tasks to ensure timely and successful project delivery by the subcontractor.
3. Electrical Engineering: Applying your expertise in electrical engineering, ensuring technical standards and specifications are met.
4. Project Phases: Following and ensuring the subcontractor delivers the work through its various phases:
- Design: Confirming with the support of MMSP power supply design team that the subcontractor's solution, procedures, method statement, drawings, and specifications meet the project requirements.
- Supply and Manufacturing: Ensuring the subcontractor's procurement and manufacturing of materials and equipment is timely and conforms to project requirements.
- Delivery and Installation: Supervising the subcontractor's on-site installation of the independent power supply.
- Testing and Commissioning: Overseeing the subcontractor's tests and commissioning procedures to ensure the system operates correctly and efficiently.
5. Reporting: Regularly updating project status to relevant stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed of progress, issues, and milestones.
6. Team Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams, such as engineering, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure all aspects of the project align and are successfully executed.
This role requires both autonomy and collaboration with MMSP CP106 teams, interface contractors, and third parties (Meralco, LGU).
