Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This position could require frequent out-of-state travel, and candidates must be willing to be away for extended periods. The Project Engineer will provide exceptional customer service and support the management and execution of project contracts.

ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional, first-class customer service.Assist with the execution and management of the terms of project contracts.Prepare and present computer-generated spreadsheets and reports.Maintain regular communication and collaboration with the entire project team, including Project Foreman, Project Manager, General Contractor, Architect/Engineer, and other subcontractors.Generate, maintain, and facilitate project documentation, including requests for information, submittals, drawings, specifications, purchase orders, material orders, change orders, and close-out documents.Perform material take-offs from drawings to help generate estimates and changes.Demonstrate attention to detail, efficiency, and integrity in all aspects of the work.Maintain flexibility with assigned work environment and project locations, which may require commuting to various jobsite locations.Attend and conduct meetings as required.Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs.Perform other duties as specific projects dictate.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; OR 2 years’ prior experience in a related field via internships, co-ops, or industry employment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility and adaptability in utilizing a wide range of computer software.Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsEngineer-in-training certification preferred.Journeyman license preferred.Field experience preferred.Work Environment

This role involves on-site work and traveling to large industrial construction sites. Candidates must be prepared for a dynamic and physically demanding work environment.
