Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and detailing structural systems for large, complex structures, primarily Type I construction. This role requires coordination with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the success of our projects. The Project Engineer will perform structural analysis, prepare construction documents, conduct site visits, and provide technical support to project teams. This position also involves mentoring junior engineers and interns.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and detail structural systems for large, complex structures, primarily Type I construction.Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.Perform structural analysis and design using various software tools.Prepare construction documents, including drawings and specifications.Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to project teams.Mentor and guide junior engineers and interns.Essential SkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a year.3-5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on large-scale projects.Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, Revit).Strong understanding of building codes and standards.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Additional Skills & QualificationsSE License is highly desirable.Structural Engineering degree from reputable schools such as SLO, UCLA, UC Berkeley, or UC San Diego.Experience with DSA and HCAI/OSHPD is a plus.Experience with seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing buildings using ASCE 41.Strong communication and people skills.Work Environment

Our office is located in downtown Los Angeles. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday in-office, and Friday is a work-from-home day. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $130000.00
