Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for coordinating technical relations with customers, planning engineering activities, and ensuring the smooth flow of information between various engineering disciplines. You will also participate in project planning, tackle design problems, and support commercial opportunities.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with the Project Manager to manage technical relations with the customer, ensuring cost savings and contract compliance.Plan and schedule engineering activities, and participate in overall project planning.Ensure the flow of information between engineering disciplines such as process, mechanical, piping, structural, and electrical.Participate in the project setup phase when necessary.Solve design problems with clients, partners, and on-site teams, compiling and generating design drawings.Develop and control technical specifications and bill of materials to be sent to purchasing and production in compliance with contractual conditions.Collaborate with the Project Manager in the search, selection, and qualification of suppliers.Participate in commissioning and acceptance execution activities.Support the analysis of commercial opportunities in the geographic area, including potential commercial agreements with agents.Examine risk aspects associated with offers alongside the risk committee.Conduct negotiations with prospects.Maintain and improve client relationships to create further business opportunities.Study and define technical offers and relevant attachments with support from technical departments, highlighting criticalities to the Department Director.Review contract drawings and ensure that specifications are met.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with AutoDesk CAD software.Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.0-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering or design.Understanding of design costs, including the cost of deliverables generation, and ability to estimate project-related costs.Basic knowledge of project management methods and project lifecycle phases.Effective communication and interaction skills with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization.Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience working for an engineering company.Additional Skills & QualificationsApplications and improvements of technical knowledge into design criteria that suit project requisition and/or support the design of new components/equipment.Knowledge of engineering models and drafting environments, including applications and products across various disciplines (electrical, mechanical, etc.).Understanding of engineering interfaces in terms of dependencies among disciplines.Work Environment

The role involves working in a collaborative engineering environment where you will interact with various technical departments and external clients. You will use advanced engineering software, including AutoCAD and specific AutoDesk CAD applications. The work environment promotes effective communication and teamwork, ensuring that all engineering disciplines are well-coordinated. You will also participate in on-site activities, commissioning, and acceptance execution tasks. Dress code and specific shift information will be provided upon hiring.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67
