This position reports to

Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:•Performing basic survey work, standard computations, analysis and basic design tasks. •Collecting data and supports production of the engineering design (e.g. creates drafts for the Project Engineer to approve). •Assisting other engineers (preparation of permit applications, testing, drawings, computer aided design work, etc.). •Exercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods. Prepares project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables •Identifying variation requests to support contract claims issuing. •Following work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. •Ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. •Supporting risk assessments and implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility. •Documenting and handling technical risks according to mitigation guidelines. •Clarifying technical queries for customers. •Interacting with other staff and contractors within one’s scope of deliverables. •Collaborating with the Supply Chain function, reviews vendor documentation, supports preparation of RFQs, evaluation of proposals, maintaining the execution of projects, etc. •Using standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. •Reporting process and tool inefficiencies, along with suggesting ideas for improvement. May assign tasks to and coordinate work with technicians, administrative staff.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in electrical power and machinesMinimum 2 to 5 years of experience in design engineer in the same fieldKnowledge in Microsoft office, communication skills, ability to work under pressure, ability to work in teams, self-motivation, respond positively to challengesFluency in both English & Arabic language is mandatory
