*Reporting to the Near Surface Senior Strategic Planner/Engineer, you will be part of the Near Surface Department. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, economical, and environmentally sound coordination of mine projects, as well as keeping up to date with compliance and safety practice. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility; Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects; Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques; Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress of projects; Report and escalate to management as needed; Perform risk management to minimize project risks; Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals; Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis; Help produce budget physicals and costs for projects; Lead strategic sessions, with input from stakeholders; Assist in project budgeting for projects in upcoming years; Create AFEs for projects as required; Assist with mine design and planning; Other responsibilities as assigned. *Reporting to the Near Surface Senior Strategic Planner/Engineer, you will be part of the Near Surface Department. * Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering; Must be registered or immediately eligible to register as a P.Eng in Ontario; 4 or more years of a variety of mining experience, both operational and technical, with the majority in underground mining; High level computer literacy as applied to mining engineering; Proven working experience in project management; Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills; Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills; Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.Your Work Schedule\:
