As a Project Engineer you will have the opportunity to: ∙ Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans ∙ Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, Integration and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility ∙ Ensure Engineering is coordinated across Program and suppliers ∙ Support Ad hoc tasking by Program Technical Leaders **Basic Qualifications:** • Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs • Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope • Strong leadership skills and whole systems thinking • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance **Desired Skills:** • Bachelor's or master's degree in an Engineering field • Project tools Jira, CAM and/or EVM • Project/Program management experience • Experience throughout engineering lifecycle \(system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment\) • Positive demeanor, accountable and responsible and able to work in a team\-focused, dynamic environment • Demonstrated behaviors of a strategic thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, with the ability to lead multi\-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers • Understanding of Modernization/Digital Transformation development aspects, terms and technologies\. • Support various Digital Transformation project teams in the execution of program level initiatives\. • Communicating schedule impacts and proposing corrective actions to applicable stakeholders\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\. **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\.
