Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer to manage small to medium-sized construction projects, focusing on electrical projects ($50-100k range) and Mechanical Engineering (ME) projects, including HVAC. This role involves overseeing electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and architectural projects from start to finish, building budgets, and coordinating with third-party design firms.

ResponsibilitiesManage small to medium-sized electrical and mechanical engineering projects, including HVAC.Oversee the entire project lifecycle from start to finish.Work with third-party design firms to ensure accurate engineering design outputs.Handle financial aspects, construction elements, and report to leadership.Provide engineering support for industrial applications, compressed air, wastewater, piping, and clean rooms.Supervise field activities and ensure adherence to safety protocols.Daily presence on-site at the Gigafactory, working alongside the current team.Review equipment submittals and identify potential issues.Integrate socially into the facilities team and work independently.Essential SkillsHigh-level project management experience in financial elements and construction aspects.Coordination with third-party design firms.Strong analysis and optimization experience in HVAC, particularly with water-cooled air systems.Excellent communication, leadership qualities, and multi-tasking abilities.OSHA 30 Qualification for managing contractors in the field.Experience in equipment submittal review and issue identification.Additional Skills & QualificationsExp from a General Contractor (GC) with strong mechanical experience, especially in piping and HVAC.Ability to quickly integrate with the team and take over field supervision and financial processes.Light field presence to ensure no safety issues.Work Environment

The work environment is on-site at the Gigafactory with a standard 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 7-4 or 8-5pm. The role requires adherence to cleanroom protocol and safety standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $53.00/hr.
