Due to our continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a self-driven, systems-orientated Project Engineer, to join our Engineering Construction division.

This is a rare opportunity to join Monadelphous in the Perth office, as part of an Oil & Gas project in WA. In this role you will provide detailed quantity and technical data to support preparation and analysis of Contract Variations, Progress Claims, and Earned Value Reporting to the relevant projects and/or business units. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete contract quantities remeasure (take off) based on engineering drawings and information. 

• Responsible for the overall project measure, including maintaining the project database.

• Complete data verification and reporting for weekly progress reporting into client systems and project schedule.

• Liaise with offshore engineering resources to support take off activities.

• Coordinate with local engineering team to ensure take offs are completed correctly.

• Identification and estimation of any new rates required.

• Prepare information and correspondence for contractual variations and reporting.

• Work closely with the Lead Project Engineer / Project Controls Manager and other staff to ensure all data is correct and suitable for project requirements.

• Analyse materials, products, or qualitative or quantitative work outputs for quality, accuracy and completeness.

• Understand and interpret detailed engineering drawings. Translate drawings for purposes of tendering, procurement, resourcing, project scheduling and risk identification.

• Track budget quantities against increased scope quantities (change management).

What you’ll bring:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Business / Commerce or related discipline is desirable

• Contract administration / Quantity Surveying experience is essential, preferably within the heavy industrial sectors (maintenance or construction).

• Experience with quantity tracking and QMR updates.

• High level of Microsoft Excel skills.

• Detailed understanding of data management tools and databases.

• Excellent communication skills with proven experience of building relationships at all levels of an organisation.

• You demonstrate initiative and ensure that the teams you work with feel confident, informed, and efficient.

• The ability to leverage your analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose business problems and deliver practical, sustainable solutions.

• 4-6 years’ experience within a similar industry is desired.
