Project Engineer

Clover Leaf Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer to support on-site construction activities in Sparks, Nevada. This role serves as a liaison between the Client, Project Manager, and Subcontractors, ensuring that the project progresses safely, accurately, and efficiently from planning to closeout. The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing document control, submittals, RFIs, procurement, change orders, contract administration, issue resolution, safety auditing, and field coordination support.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain project files including RFIs, specifications, addenda, and construction documents in both digital and hard copy formats. Prepare, review, and distribute RFIs, submittals, and contract documents, ensuring compliance with project requirements. Procure materials for the project, ensuring optimal pricing, quality, and conformance with specifications. Execute projects within established financial boundaries and monitor cost controls. Develop and manage job progress schedules, ensuring construction stays on track. Ensure subcontracts are executed, insurance requirements are met, and vendor responsibilities are clearly defined. Manage the procurement log in coordination with the Project Manager and Superintendent to prevent delays. Review and validate subcontractor and self-perform change orders through quantity takeoffs. Manage closeout documentation, including compiling operations and maintenance manuals for the owner. Assist in other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the project team. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Construction industry experience in a related role is preferred but not required. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word), PDF applications, estimating software, and document management programs. Strong emotional intelligence, relationship-building skills, and the ability to work with diverse personalities. Must possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record per Fortis policy. Physical Requirements: Work is performed on an active construction site. Requires standing or walking for extended periods. Use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Occasional lifting or moving of equipment up to 50 lbs. Regular communication with internal and external stakeholders.
