Coordinate with the Project Manager to manage technical relations with the customer, aiming to find the best design solutions that balance cost savings and contract compliance. Plan and schedule engineering activities while ensuring smooth information flow between various engineering disciplines such as process, mechanical, piping, structural, and electrical.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate technical relations with the customer to find cost-effective design solutions.
+ Plan engineering activities and participate in overall project planning and scheduling.
+ Ensure information flow between engineering disciplines.
+ Participate in the project setup phase when necessary.
+ Address and resolve design problems with clients, partners, and the Site, including generating design drawings.
+ Create and control technical specifications and bill of materials in compliance with contractual conditions.
+ Cooperate with the Project Manager in supplier search, selection, and qualification activities.
+ Participate in commissioning and acceptance execution activities.
+ Support analysis of commercial opportunities in the geographic area, including potential commercial agreements with agents.
+ Examine risk aspects associated with offers along with the risk committee.
+ Negotiate with prospects and maintain/improve client relationships to foster further business opportunities.
+ Study and define technical offers with support from technical departments, highlighting critical points to the Department Director.
+ Review contract drawings to ensure specifications are met.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and other AutoDesk CAD software.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
+ 2+ years of experience in a related role.
+ Understanding of design costs, including cost estimation for deliverables generation.
+ Basic knowledge of project management methods and all project lifecycle phases.
+ Effective communication and interaction skills at all organizational levels.
+ Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
+ Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Experience working for an engineering company.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Applications and improvements of technical knowledge into design criteria that suit project requisitions.
+ Support the design of new components/equipment.
+ Knowledge of engineering models and drafting environments across disciplines.
+ Understanding of engineering interfaces and dependencies among disciplines.
Work Environment
This role involves working in a dynamic engineering environment with a focus on collaboration and communication across various disciplines. The work may involve occasional travel to project sites and client locations. The dress code is business casual, and standard office hours apply with some flexibility based on project needs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr.
