Project Engineer

Description

The Project Manager/Engineer is responsible for system design, overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, controls design, and start up/commissioning at customer site while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The Project manager/Engineer responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management as well as engineering design including - project planning, cost & time management, quality management, safety management, heating and cooling calculations, P&IDs, 2-D designs and layouts, flow calculations, etc.

Responsibilities

Become thoroughly knowledgeable with the project's contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of workBuild a knowledge base of all of company’s divisionEnsure project timeline is met and project stays within budgetDevelop and maintain the project master schedule using CPM techniques and appropriate scheduling software with input from other project management personnelManage document control, receive, and log in new issue drawings and other contract documents, maintain document control logResponsible for purchasing and procurement of equipment for projects including keeping accurate budgetsResponsible for ensuring that the project quality/assurance control program is implemented successfullyResponsible for subcontract management and coordinationManage multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgencyExamine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.Identify workplace safety hazards and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize themMaintain confidentiality of company and customer informationProvide responsive customer service and resolving customer issues quickly and efficientlyAdvanced engineering skills and ability to understand customer needs and how to satisfy those needs with excellent problem-solving capabilityAssist Sales manager and sales team with any day-to-day requests for designs, information, or customer supportAssist with and in some cases, lead procuring and company process improvementsPlan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new productsDevelop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designsPerform engineering calculations to support design workCreate and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer softwareCollaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractorsPerform detailed documentation to track project development and design process

Bachelor's in EngineeringProject management: 2 years (Preferred)Liquid Process: 1 year (Preferred)Three years of experience in sanitary manufacturing industriesPMP CertificationRequired travel for the Project Manager up to 25 - 50%Solid organizational skills including attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMaintain a positive attitude - Team play mindset

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $102000.00/yr.
