Project Engineer
**A Snapshot of Your Day** As a Project Engineer, you will be the technical lead on aftermarket centrifugal compression projects. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with multi-disciplinary teams tackling challenging projects related to the transformation of the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will have an interest and competency in project execution and will assume a leadership role within a collaborative engineering team including, but not limited to, a project manager, product design engineer, package/systems engineer, drafting, core technology specialist, and service center/factory assembly team, customer and suppliers as required. **How You’ll Make an Impact** + Overseeing the scope of complex projects to ensure the execution team meets the technical obligations of our contracts throughout the concept and basic engineering, detailed design, production, and field commissioning phases. + Leading the review and commentary on specifications during the pre-contract phase, and ensuring adherence to these specifications throughout the order execution. + Managing technical communications with clients, including scope clarifications, formal document transmittals, and product design reviews. + Facilitating collaboration among multiple engineering subject areas within and outside the matrixed organization to achieve project deliverables and achievements. + Establishing and maintaining the technical cadence of the assigned execution project team, including identifying and expediting the resolution of unresolved technical issues. + Determining and overseeing the application of agile processes to flex between baseline and special circumstance processes to best support project cycle time. **What You Bring** + Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Aeronautical/Aerodynamic) or physical sciences. + Project execution skills, team oriented, and leadership skills within a collaborative engineering team. + 1-2 years of project engineering experience and experience with rotating machinery, preferably centrifugal compressors. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level. + High degree of professionalism; capable of interacting with Management, Peers, Shop Personnel, and Clients. + Good organizational and time management skills, computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite and basic 2D/3D CAD. + Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with short notice (10-20% per year). Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
