Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our design and engineering team. The successful candidate will oversee projects that vary from skid packages, massive modular equipment packages, working closely with the fabrication floor and will conduct both mechanical and project engineering duties. This person will be overseeing full scale projects from A-Z including creating the scope of work, discussing with clients/stakeholders, managing timelines, deliveries, engineering duties as well as mentoring EIT's and other members.

ResponsibilitiesOversee projects within the design and engineering team.Select components and equipment based on performance and price.Work with the Project Engineering Manager and the wider engineering department to complete project scopes.Handle tasks such as thermal coil sizing, heat exchangers, and design changes on existing products.Ensure accuracy of design packages through review and completion.Essential Skills5+ years of mechanical design and project engineering experience.Experience designing in a heavy industrial setting for manufacturing custom-designed capital plant and process equipment.Mechanical Engineering Degree in a related discipline (e.g., Civil Engineering).P.Eng Designation or EIT or willingness to work towards this designation.Experience with process or combustion equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, burners, boilers, etc.Additional Skills & QualificationsRelated experience in material handling, furnaces, piping design, and refractory design.Experience with large multi-disciplined capital plant projects.Working knowledge of electrical engineering and instrumentation requirements.Some project management experience.Experience dealing with regulatory bodies such as TSBC and ABSA.Work Environment

You will report to the Engineering Manager and President and work alongside three other project managers/engineers. The work environment is open with a casual dress code.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $67.31/hr.
