About the Role

A leading energy company is seeking a skilled Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join its Offshore Brownfields team, supporting a major LNG project. This role involves overseeing end-to-end project engineering for brownfield modifications and maintenance projects, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with engineering standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong balance of maintenance and project engineering experience within processing facilities and operator-led environments. Scheduler/Planner expertise is a key requirement. The role reports directly to the Projects Lead and involves working within a team size of 40 to 50 personnel, with a 50/50 onshore and offshore split.

Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end project engineering for offshore brownfields projects. Develop and manage project schedules, plans, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams ranging from 4 to 50 personnel, supporting both onshore and offshore operations. Provide technical oversight and collaborate with maintenance teams for efficient project execution. Oversee project execution, commissioning, and handover, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Work closely with procurement, contractors, and operations teams to optimize project timelines and deliverables. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Key Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Proven experience in both maintenance and project engineering within the oil & gas sector. Strong scheduler/planner experience, with proficiency in project planning tools. Previous exposure to offshore brownfield projects in a similar capacity. Experience working in processing facilities and operator-led environments. Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making skills. Additional Information Contract Duration: Minimum 2 years. Team Size: 40-50 personnel (mix of onshore and offshore). Reporting Line: Reports to the Projects Lead. Location: Perth-based with offshore site visits as required.
