Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer with substantial experience in underground wet utilities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating various project activities, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. Key responsibilities include overseeing job start-up, handling submittals and RFIs, maintaining as-built documentation, tracking quantities, reviewing and approving invoices, and coordinating with all project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Initiation: Oversee the initial setup and organization of new projects, ensuring all preliminary requirements are met. Submittals and RFIs: Prepare, review, and process all necessary submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure project specifications and details are clear. As-Built Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate as-built records throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all modifications are properly documented. Quantity Tracking: Monitor and document the quantities of materials used and work completed, ensuring accurate reporting and accountability. Invoice Management: Review and approve invoices from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project budgets. Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with project owners, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Project Closeout: Manage the project closeout process, including final inspections, documentation, and resolution of any outstanding issues.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in underground wet utilities or a similar role. Strong knowledge of underground construction methods, materials, and equipment. Proficiency in Excel, Projects, Bluebeam, & Projects. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
