In this role, you will act as the Execution Lead (using the ADEM stage-gated project management model) for green-site developments and brown-site redevelopments in Ontario, in a safe, efficient, cost effective and environmentally responsible manner, resulting in reliable operations for our business.This professional must have extensive construction project management experience and be proficient in the workings of retail and wholesale facilities, both from operational and maintenance perspectives.
Minimum Requirements:
5 years of commercial construction project management experience along with proficiency in dealing with municipalities.5 years of experience / knowledge of the operation of retail service stations, wholesale Petro Pass, cardlock and bulk plant facilities, carwashes, including construction and maintenance practices Project engineering proficiency with a Bachelor’s-Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Registered with provincial body as professional engineer (APEGA, EGBC, PEO, etc)Responsibilities:
Define and execute projects using the stage-gated project management model including the work in progress, managing costs, schedules and partnering with both internal customer groups and external authorities while adhering to our Journey to Zero safety mindset.Frequent collaboration with Network Development Team to assist with technical advice around site design and layouts.Coordinate all technical design documents and drawings through outsourcred drafting personnel and consultants.Obtain municipal, regional, or provincial permits for constructions projects, including applicable service connections.Manage, track and report on project status (project estimating, scheduling, risk management)Perform technical reviews and evaluations of engineered drawings, reports and proposals, and equipment design and specification.Work with supply chain management and support groups to handle project procurement of Suncor-supplied goods and services.Provide technical support for intended changes and integration into existing facilities.Coordinate and liaise with partners to coordinate project execution with general contractors and cross-functional teams.Perform field reviews and site meetings during construction, including on-site safety observations.Work collaboratively with all teams internal to Sales and Marketing for clean and efficient turnover of a construction project to Operations – includes punch list resolution, deficiency cleanup, training, warrantee management, as builts, project closeout processes, etc.Assist Director or Project Delivery to role out new processes as a change ambassador for rest of group.Location and other key details:
