Principal Project Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for designing authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity and completing assignments on small to medium service projects or portions of larger service projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.•\tEnsuring preparation of technical specifications that are in line with project specifications, preparing or approving of engineering deliverables like SLD, GA, FDS, etc., and performing technical review before submission to ensure that the deliverables are as per the customer technical specification.•\tEvaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments in projects. Handling testing, installation and commissioning activities•\tAssisting in preparing proposals or presentations for service engineering projects or programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.)•\tIdentifying customer (internal or external) requirements, analyzing and documenting as-is process and process interfaces, discover gaps, design to-be integration in collaboration with business resources.

Qualifications for the role

\tFull -time B. Tech / B.E from a reputed University in Instrumentation or Electronics or Electrical engineering\tMinimum 1 to 4 years of experience.\tGood knowledge on process or ICSS and safety systems.\tKnowledge on brownfield scope of work for DCS - modifications, retrofits, upgrades, service and commissioning\tHands on experience in producing documents ranging from pre to detailed engineering, system testing etc.\tExperience in any ABB systems like 800xA, Symphony plus, MOD300, SG400, Advant, AC800M,AC500 etc. will be an added advantage.
